Residents of Shasha in Alimosho Local Government Area, Lagos State have lamented flooding in their community, blaming the former state Commissioner of Works, Rauf Aregbesola.
Baale of Shasha, Muftao Oguntade, said that Aregbesola had directed the release of the dam from Ajisebiara-Makka to Shasha.
This incident has been on long before now and several complaints have been made at Alausa but the community received no help.
A man that constructed Elegbede Road took along a proposal that would resolve the flood issue to Aluasa and wrote several letters for permission to single-handedly end the flood menace but he was ignored.
The flood has since claimed lives and destroyed properties.
