The Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Umo Eno, was recently joined by other eminent personalities to declare open a high-end jewellery store, Eno Basse Company, in Lekki, Lagos.
The store is owned by Eyakenoabasi Bob-Hassan, a daughter to Senator Effiong Bob, the Pro Chancellor of the University of Benin and former member of the Senate.
Promising to support her, Eno noted that he was committed to wealth creation and tackling unemployment among the youth of Akwa Ibom. He added that he would invite Bob-Hassan to the state to train other young girls, in a bid to reduce the rate of youth unemployment in the state.
On her part, Bob-Hassan, stated that her aim was to create dream jewelleries for clients. According to her, that was what inspired the motto of the company—‘Have a piece of forever’.
The President of the USA chapter of the Akwa Ibom State Association of Nigeria, Bobby Onofiok; as well as the entrepreneur’s brother, Otobong; and her husband, Oluwafemi, were full of praises for her dedication and determination.
Oluwafemi stated that he was in partnership with his wife to grow the business to a greater height.
The proud parents of Bob-Hassan thanked God for allowing their daughter come this far in her passion for producing unique jewelries. They also commended the governor and the members of his entourage for attending the event.
A popular actor, Ime Umoh, aka Okon Lagos, was also on hand to crack the ribs of guests and give them a good time.
Bob-Hassan, a graduate of Civil Engineering, is also a trained gemologist. She attended the Gemology Institute of America, in California, United States of America.
Other guests at the event include the Secretary to Akwa Ibom State Government, Enobong Uwah, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, Senator Grace Bent, Adeola Hassan, Sharon Ikeazor, and Fifi Ejindu.
