Performing the decoration ceremony at the state Command Headquarters in Awka on Tuesday, the state commandant, Mr Edwin Osuala, charged the officers to be more dedicated, disciplined, loyal and committed to their duties.
He said the promotion affirmed that the officers being adorned with their new rank had performed very well, which earned them the reward.
This is according to a press statement by the Public Relations Officer, Okadigbo Edwin, on Wednesday.
Osuala appreciated the Commandant-General of NSCDC, Dr Ahmed Audi, and the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board for the promotion and other welfare packages given to officers and men.
This, according to him, will go a long way in boosting the morale of the personnel and enhancing service delivery.
He advised those who did not benefit from the promotion to exercise patience, believing that their time would come.
He said, “Let me congratulate you on your well-earned promotion. This is an indication that you are doing well. Now that you have been rewarded for hard work, I charge you to always put in your best and be focused on carrying out your responsibilities.
“I am happy that your sacrifice has been rewarded, though not without a challenge to keep up the good work and strive to perform better.
“Promotion comes from God. For those who did not get this time, continue to give your best, and remain good ambassadors of the Corps. Yours will come at the right time.”
In a vote of thanks on behalf of the promotees, DCC Ike George thanked the CG and the Board for finding them worthy of elevation to higher ranks, promising to redouble their efforts, pledging their loyalty and commitment in the discharge of their duties to justify the confidence reposed in them.
Among the officers promoted are: DCC Ike George, HOD Technical Services, DCC Asim Nkoyo Attah, HOD Disaster Management, DCC Akaachia Godwin, Ops Officer, ACC Nwagu Samuel, ACC Gladys Okwesa, SC Nwaneri Emmanuel, O/C Special Duty, SC Ikenna Nwokedi, and ASC I Onuorah Tochukwu.
The decoration ceremony was graced by the Command’s Management team, families and friends of the newly promoted officers.
