The Executive Secretary of Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy, Ms Folasade Coker, has called on youths in Lagos State and beyond to work towards becoming better leaders of tomorrow by emulating Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
Coker, in a statement, noted that there was a need for Nigerian youths to live a purpose-driven life that continues to reverberate through the echoes of time just like the holy prophet.
She said the Academy, established by the administration of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, was critical to the development of Lagos State and the future of Nigeria as a whole.
While expressing optimism on the new set of leadership rising in the country’s political space, the Executive Secretary urged all and sundry to work towards bequeathing a better Nigeria to the future generation.
“Elections are never the end but just a means to an end, and that is to demonstrate good leadership that serves the people and brings in tangible democratic deliverables. This explains why every one of us must rise and lead within our own micro and macro spaces,” she was quoted as saying.
She charged Muslims and non-Muslims alike, especially those in the youth bracket, to use the opportunity of Sallah festivity to deliberately work towards becoming the change they want to see.
