A student activist, Olorunfemi Adeyeye, who was suspended in 2016 by the University of Lagos for leading a mass protest against poor infrastructure on campus, has now graduated after seven years.
In an interview with The PUNCH, Adeyeye narrated how he alongside some student activists sometime on April 6, 7, and 8, 2016, protested the conditions of living and learning at the University of Lagos.
He said there were poor electricity and water supplies, adding that students had to buy sachet water to have a bath on campus.
Adeyeye went on to say that the offence for which he was suspended did not exist anywhere in the handbook of the University of Lagos but was smuggled into the 2016- 2017 handbook.
