She cautioned the public not to undervalue the power of social media after the outcomes of her online laments. The Yoruba movie star updated her followers on Instagram on Tuesday, saying that her bank had fixed the problem and given her a refund.
Afolabi thanked her internet fans for helping her pressure the bank into acting after they had been dragging their feet for months.
She wrote: “GTB Fraud Unit made sure the money I erroneously transferred to their customer is returned to my account. Thank you all for helping me tag GTB. My dear! Never you underestimate the power of social media. Thank you all.”
