The Director, Lagos State Women Development Centre, Mrs Olufunke Segun, has charged newly admitted students of the centre to be of good comportment and stellar performance in their quest to acquire new skills for empowerment and financial independence.
Segun, who gave the charge recently at an orientation programme organised for the second batch of the 2023 new intake, stressed that the new students were expected to uphold the values of respect, responsibility and excellence in their interactions with other students and staff at the centre throughout their period of study.
The director was quoted in a statement as saying that “Our centre values respect, responsibility and excellence. I, therefore, urge you to imbibe these values and interact with your fellow students and staff of the centre cordially and respectfully for a mutually beneficial experience.”
She added that the centre would not condone fighting, loitering, littering or any other misdemeanour as all students were expected to conform to the laid down rules and regulations of the facility.
Segun assured the students that the centre will provide the guidance, support and motivation they need for a successful skill acquisition programme.
“As you enroll here to develop new skills, I encourage you to reach out to your instructors and classmates for support and collaboration when necessary in order to achieve your full potential and goals,” she said.
