At the inauguration of the panel, the state Commissioner for Education, Mr. Dipo Eluwole, said the panel would resolve whatever issues led to the suspension of Odetayo.
Odetayo was recently suspended by the state government and replaced in an acting capacity by Mr. Kehinde Adeyemi.
Displeased by the development, the leadership of the Academic Staff of Polytechnic in the institution, subsequently embarked on strike.
A bulletin published by the state Ministry of Information on Friday noted that Eluwole, who charged the panel to do a thorough job, admonished the striking workers to resume work.
Eluwole further said, “All striking unions should resume back to work pending the outcome of the investigative panel government has set up.
“Governor Adeleke is a man who is objective. We assure all unions involved that the panel will surely come up with decisions that will be for the benefit of all involved.
“All stakeholders involved should go back to their duties and call off all the strikes. The present administration is one that listens to all, he said.”
