The wife of the Anambra State Governor, Mrs Nonye Soludo, has advised women to be agents of change and solution providers in their various communities.
Soludo stated this while addressing women during the 2023 Women Summit held at the Women Development Centre, Awka.
She urged ‘August’ meetings to deliberate on issues that impact the environment, health, children, and social progress.
She said, “There is a lot of work before mothers as the heart of homes and society. The women should reassess their responsibilities in both child upbringing, home management, health habits, and environment.
“It is also important for the women to use the meetings to think of the positive differences they can bring to the society around them and to form a stronger alliance for the overall good of their homes.
“Women are crucial partners in the journey to a better society and the country at large, those attending the annual meetings should explore other important issues affecting the welfare of women and children.
“Many societal ills and moral decadence in the society have been traced to many parents, especially women abandoning their family roles of inculcating good values in their wards.”
