This one sees the unexpected side sitting pretty in 4th taking on a side looking to bounce back from defeat as the Bees take on the Eagles.

Brentford vs Crystal Palace Correct Score Prediction
Since Brentford were promoted to the English top flight for the 2021/2022 season there has not been a winner between these two sides. Both of last season’s fixtures ended 1-1.
As that record suggests these are two evenly matched sides and both have shown a fondness to attack in recent times. The Bees drew their opening home game 2-2 against Tottenham and I am going for a repeat of that scoreline here.
1×2 Predictions
The last four meetings between these two sides have all ended in a draw. This was also the case for Brentford’s first home game of the season.
A breathless opening 45 minutes at the Brentford Community Stadium saw four goals evenly shared with Spurs. Both sides took the lead, neither could hold on to it and there were no further goals after the interval.
Taking a look at the 1×2 market on the betting sites it is the home team who are the favourite to win this clash. But I think Palace can upset the odds and take a point from this London derby. The draw is at 49/20 with BetKing.
Draw No Bet Predictions
The odds are very short but if you’re looking to play a winner with the safety net of Draw No Bet market then it has to be the home side. Thomas Frank’s men are five home games unbeaten in the league now.
Brentford’s opening two fixtures were also London derbies. Taking a draw and a win from them sees the Bees up in 4th place in the embryonic Premier League table.
If it does become a shoot-out then they have the better firepower in the final third to do the damage.
BTTS Predictions
Despite the stats from the start of the season, I am confident to add both teams to score to my predictions for this fixture. Both Palace games have finished 1-0 while Brentford kept Fulham out last week when recording a 3-0 away win.
Although they have only scored once Roy Hodgson has seen his side have 38 shots at goal across their two games. This is a follow-on from his front-foot style last season and is a total only bettered by three clubs.
Brentford have shown no problems scoring goals with five so far this term. They were helped in keeping a clean sheet at Fulham by the home team having a man sent off.
Our Analysis of the Brentford vs Crystal Palace Match
Last season was another year of improvement for Brentford under Thomas Frank. Victory over the treble winners Manchester City on the last day of the campaign secured 9th place. A first ever top-half Premier League finish.
The Bees have taken in their stride the loss of top scorer and captain Ivan Toney who is suspended until January. Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa sharing those five goals between them so far this term.
They also never lost any of the 11 home games they started as favourite last season. Only tasting defeat to top four sides Arsenal and Newcastle. A run they continued against Spurs on matchday 1.
Roy Hodgson did a fine job coming in to take his boyhood club away from any relegation trouble last term. However, it was still something of a surprise that he was given the opportunity to stay on for another year.
Also in something of a surprise, the usually pragmatic 76-year-old has set his sides up in a far more attacking style. A tactic that has paid off, losing only his first home game in 11 since returning to the club against Arsenal on Monday.
The Eagles have also had to cope without their talisman. After Wilfried Zaha decided to join Galatasaray having made 458 senior appearances for the club.
Top Scorers Predictions for Brentford vs Crystal Palace
Bryan Mbeumo has certainly stepped up to replace the unavailable Ivan Toney. Quite literally and in more ways than one.
The suspended striker blasted in 20 league goals last term with only Harry Kane (30) and Erling Haaland (36) topping that total. Six of those were penalties and in his absence, the Cameroon international has taken on spot-kick responsibilities.
Two of the 24-year-old’s three goals this season have come from the penalty spot. This makes an even better argument for siding with the in-form striker and Mbeumo to get on the scoresheet for a third successive game is my favourite pick for this match. He’s at 21/10 to score any time which looks like real value.
Eagles to take the sting out of Bees in an entertaining stalemate
Brentford have proven over the last season that they are very hard to beat on home soil. With only Newcastle and Arsenal managing to take three points away with them.
That defeat to the Gunners last term was the only time from seven attempts Brentford didn’t take at least a point from a London derby in front of their own fans. There are a lot of draws in that record though.
With Eberechi Eze in fine form, Palace certainly have the ability to cause the home side headaches.
The Eagles fans will be hoping scoring on the opening weekend of the season will give Odsonne Édouard a much needed boost of confidence. Something they received when the highly coveted Michael Olise who is unfortunately currently injured, signed a new contract extension.
As a result, I am happy to sit on the fence here and call the draw.
Last results of the teams
Brentford opened the season with an entertaining 2-2 draw at home to Tottenham and then followed that up with an impressive 3-0 win at Fulham.
Crystal Palace couldn’t build on their 1-0 win at newly promoted Sheffield United when losing to Arsenal by the same scoreline at Selhurst Park.
