Contestants in the ongoing reality TV show, Big Brother Naija (All Stars edition), have been attracting criticisms since a video surfaced online showing them not getting the right answers to questions, which some fans consider to be basic.
In one of their tasks for the week (HFM task), the housemates were asked different general knowledge questions, and majority of them failed to provide the right answers.
Some of the questions asked were, ‘What is the body’s primary source of energy?’, ‘What colour is a giraffe’s tongue?’, ‘Whose face is on the 100 naira bill?’, and ‘Which body is responsible for making laws in Nigeria?’.
Reacting to the clip, a TikTok user, simply identified as Federal, said, “Our government has failed us, making this kind of individuals popular and giving them deals in different organizations, when good scholars are dying.”
Another commentator, Ifeakanwa Oliseh, said, “I am disappointed. There are some questions they are not supposed to fail. Did they not study current affairs in school?”
Annabel Ajose added, “They need to go back to school.”
Lovelyn wrote, “See them, empty brains with wild characters. They want to give N120m to nonsense people.”
Lara wrote, “Our dear barrister Cee C did not know the body making laws in Nigeria. What a lawyer.”
However, Adekunle, Angel and Ilebaye eventually emerged winners of the task. Adekunle and Angel won N1, 500,000 each, while Ilebaye won N1m.
Also, the house witnessed many romantic moments during their Close Up task on Thursday. The housemates were paired in teams to carry out a task themed, ‘Shoot your Shot’, where they were paired to make romantic proposals to their partners. While Cross and Ilebaye shared an exciting hug, Mercy kissed White Money after the proposals.
With 13 housemates currently left in the house, Mercy Eke, Alex, Cee-C, White Money, Ilebaye, Neo, Adekunle, and Sholzy, who is a houseguest, are up for eviction; while Cross won immunity by virtue of being the Head of House for the week.
