They called relevant authorities in the country, especially the Nigeria Police to conduct a thorough investigation on the sudden death of the musician and as well as prosecute whoever might be culpable in the overall interest of justice.
The protesting youths kicked off the rally at the Awenayeri filling station by Bendel Estate junction along Airport road in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area, before marching to other parts of the metropolis just as they played some tracks of the musical records of the deceased musician.
They also displayed placards with inscriptions such as “Justice for Mohbad”; “Say No to Marlians”; “You don’t have to kill somebody before you sing”; “Mohbad: Who off the light” and “Warri says Justice for Mohbad” etc.
The youths demanded the immediate arrest of the individual who allegedly injected Mohbad and Naira Marley.
They equally demanded that Mohbad’s wife be invited for interrogation with a DNA test conducted for Mohbad’s son to ascertain his true paternity.
Also, they demanded that Mohbad’s father should be invited to explain his reasons for the rush to bury his son in the manner he did.
Speaking with newsmen at the rally, a Warri-based musician, MLI Imole, called for a probe of those involved, including the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency.
