Beverly shot to popularity when she played a vixen in the 2011 smash song “Oleku” by legendary rapper Ice Prince.
The Big Brother Africa star claimed that many people in society opposed her choice to use the moniker “video vixen” when she first started using it.
She made this statement during her recent appearance on the podcast “Tea With Tay,” hosted by Temisan Emmanuel Ahwieh, also known as Taymesan.
She said;
“I was literally the first person to call myself a video vixen [in Nigeria]. Yeah, proudly. People hated it but I was like, ‘Yeah, I’m a video vixen.’
And they were like, ‘Video vixens are… You don’t say that. Say you’re a model.’ “I was like, ‘No, I’m a model but I’m a video vixen.”
In other news, Big Brother Naija ‘All Stars’ winner, Ilebaye Odiniya, has reacted after she was dragged to filth for seemingly soliciting funds from fans despite winning the N120 million grand prize.
Recall that the 22-year-old Kogi-born housemate emerged as the winner of the reality TV show on Sunday, October 1, defeating 23 other housemates.
Following her victory, she took to Twitter to caution her fans against sending money to any unauthorized account number, except the one she provided.
She tweeted,
“We’ve received information about fans planning to send gifts or contributions. Please refrain from sending money to any account that isn’t officially posted on Ilebaye’s verified accounts. For gifts, please send an email. The only accessible account is the Baye Tribe account (9608176782 – Providus). We won’t be responsible for any misappropriation of funds. Thank you 🙏🏾”
