The Jigawa State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of three suspected armed robbers.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Lawan Adam, in a statement on Monday identified the suspects as Yakubu Adamu, Hamisu Adamu, and Abubakar Sani.
The statement read, “On September 28, 2023, around 9.30am, one Sagiru Musa, 30, of Kakikankare village in Ringim LGA of Jigawa State reported at the Ringim Police Station that on the same date around 12.30am, armed men numbering about four trespassed into his house and went away with his motor vehicle Golf 3 wagon with number plate RNG 691 AA valued at N1.8m and two tecno phones.”
The police spokesman said on receipt of the report, policemen swung into action and arrested the suspects.
On interrogation, he said both Yakubu and Abubakar confessed to having participated in the crime and further revealed that the vehicle had been sold at Maradi city in the Niger Republic.
