In a statement signed by National Chairman, Sen. Dayo Adeyeye, and National Secretary, Bosun Oladele, the group said it was pertinent for all Nigerians to face the task of nation-building after months of litigation over the 2023 presidential election.
According to the group, It is time for all and sundry to focus and work for Nigeria to take its rightful place in the comity of Nations as the leader of the black world and an emerging power of the 21st Century.
While congratulating Tinubu on the Supreme Court victory, the group maintained it recognised the President’s “ingenuity as a leader and his one-of-a-kind ability to turn a bad situation to better based on his wealth of experience”.
“We appreciate the diligent approach of our judiciary to all cases at all levels in spite of the intimidation, harassment, and cyberbullying/stalking by some sections of the populace. Indeed our democracy and the supportive institutions are evolving positively.
“While urging Nigerians to be patient with the reforms being engendered by President Tinubu as can be seen in the economy, infrastructure, social welfare programs, and institutional reforms undertaken so far, we call on oppositions to join hands with the government of the day to birth a better Nigeria for the sake of this generation and the coming ones. There is no other country we can call our own, we must build a Nigeria where our legitimate aspirations can be fulfilled.
“For Mr. President, we urge you to steady your hands on the plow as you continue to renew our hope in a greater, functional and progressively advancing Nigeria,” the statement read.
