This is contained in a statement by the command’s Public Relations Officer, DSC Ibrahim Abdullahi, on Friday.
According to Abdullahi, the incident happened on Friday around 9am.
The suspects are Adam Muhammad, aged 25, and Khalifa Yahaya, 18.
They were said to have used a knife to stab the victim who had earlier generously given them a ride.
The victim, Muhammad Bashir, a student of Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria, Kano, escaped with a cut on his finger.
The suspects were said to have snatched the car and hid it in a location far from where it was snatched.
“The NSCDC Kano Command is on the trail of a lady called Baby who is their accomplice,” Abdullahi said in the statement.
The command’s Intelligence and Investigation Department has since launched a discreet investigation into the matter with a view to making further arrests.
The NSCDC spokesman said as soon as the investigation is concluded, the suspects will be charged in court.
