Singer, Valentine Enwerem, aka Valentiiano, has opened up on the challenges he encountered while producing his Extended Play titled, ‘The Blessing’.
In an interview with Sunday Scoop, he shared the story of his financial struggles during the EP’s production.
“While I was making this EP as an independent artiste, there was a time I ran out of cash. There was no money to pay the producer. This made me halt the project and hustle for money to complete the EP,” he stated.
Valentiiano, who is not only a singer but also a dancer, revealed how he initially believed his future would revolve around dance.
He said, “Dance is something I have always known how to do. It’s a talent I was born with. I started dancing as a child, from nursery to primary and secondary schools, to my university days.
“I used to think I would end up as a dancer until I discovered my love for music. My passion and love for music became stronger, which turned into a dream that I wanted to pursue. Along the line, I discovered I had a good voice for singing. Therefore, I stopped rapping and started singing more.”
Speaking on what inspired the EP title, he explained, “I looked around me and saw what God had been doing for me and my family. I looked at the level He has brought me today and all the things He has provided for me. This inspired the title because I know I am blessed. So, I decided to name the EP ‘The Blessing’.”
