A source said the woman, identified as Blessing Williams, was found dead in her apartment on Thursday.
The source, who pleaded anonymity, said the single mother has been going through hard times.
She added that her mother has been giving a helping hand to the deceased and her son for days, describing her death as shocking.
She stated, “This morning, I was in my house when the son was passing by. So my mom called him and asked how his mom was.
“He said his mom is fine. He then asked the boy to go home, have his birth, and come back so that she would give him some money to get something for him and his mom.
“Not up to 20 minutes; he rushed back and said he had been calling his mom, and she was not answering.”
Continuing, the source said, “I now followed him, and truly the mom was dead. For three days, we have been the ones feeding them.”
