The State Commissioner for Works, Rural and Riverine Areas, Charles Aniagwu, gave the commendation on Tuesday when he paid an inspection visit to the ongoing construction of the 4.04 km Emevor Road project being handled by the construction firm in the Isoko axis of the state.
The Commissioner highlighted the “remarkable dedication and expertise” demonstrated by the Emo Rock Concept in the execution of the Emevor Road Project, which he described as one of the key infrastructures and focal points in the development of the Isoko axis of the state by the present administration.
He said, “The Works Ministry is keen on assessing the progress first hand, hence the working visit focusing on a detailed inspection of the drains, baselines, culverts and the entire quality of the job done.
“And from what we have seen so far, the work is indeed being done to specification. The efforts of the indigenous construction firm truly aligned seamlessly with the MORE Agenda championed by the State Governor, His Excellency Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.
“The Road, when completed, will play a pivotal role in enhancing connectivity, especially in the Isoko economic corridor”.
The Commissioner applauded the construction firm for contributing significantly to the realization of the goals of the MORE Agenda through their efficient and commendable execution of the road project.
While expressing optimism about the positive impacts the completed road would have on the lives of the local residents, he assured that it would foster economic growth and improve overall accessibility.
In the entourage of the commissioner were the Director, Delta State Ministry of Works (Rural), Engr. Solomon Aragba; the zonal engineer, Lawrence Ogbere; and other top dignitaries from the ministry.
In a goodwill message to the visiting government team, the Odion of Emevor, HRM Dr John Holt Ologho, expressed gratitude to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for sustaining the continuity of the project, just as he also acknowledged the commitment of the construction company to the successful execution of the project.
