The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ahmed Idris, disclosed this in a statement made available to journalists in Birnin Kebbi, the state capital.
According to the statement, the governor, while presenting the budget before the lawmakers said, “The proposed 2024 Kebbi State budget of Infrastructural Development and People Empowerment is in the sum of N250,134,091,757:01.
“Of the proposed revenues, statutory allocation coming from the federation account is estimated in the sum of N79,254,269,350 only. Internally generated revenues are estimated in the sum of N18,387,341,791:26 Kobo only.”
The CPS added, “The recurrent expenditure accounted for N90,640,286,421:53 Kobo only, while the recurrent expenditure was broken down to personnel costs, N35,961,467,843:98 Kobo only, while overhead costs stood at N54,678,818,577:55 Kobo only.”
The governor sought the cooperation of the House in doing a good and thorough job on the budget and ensuring speedy passage to enable its implementation by January 2024.
The governor urged the Kebbi people to sustain their support of the policies and programmes of the present administration to pave the way for rapid growth and development across the state.
