Derby day specialists Brentford to sting Gunners
Brentford had their three-game winning streak in the Premier League snapped by Liverpool before the international break. The last two of those victories should come as a warning to 3rd place Arsenal ahead of this clash as they were London derbies.
The Bees beat Chelsea 2-0 at Stamford Bridge and followed that with a come-from-behind 3-2 defeat of West Ham here at the Brentford Community Stadium. Those results extended their unbeaten run in clashes with London rivals to 14 games winning eight.
So although Arsenal are the favourite to be the winner of this match I think the home side can pick up at least a point.

More entertainment at the Community Stadium
This game looks to follow the pattern of that West Ham game with goals at both ends. Looking at the stats for the last 64 Premier League matches involving at least one of these two sides there has been at least one goal scored.
Brentford’s opening six league games on home soil this season have seen 22 goals scored at an average of 3.67 and over 2.5 goals have landed in four. The Bees have hit the net in all of them with Burnley the only visitors to fail in getting on the scoresheet.
Arsenal have only failed to score once away from home in the league from five outings.

Red hot Bryan set to bag again
Bryan Mbeumo is Brentford’s top goalscorer this term scoring six goals and hitting the back of the net in five separate games. He has scored eight goals in London derbies since the start of last season. Having not scored in a head-to-head clash yet he will be determined to add Arsenal to that list.
The Cameroon forward scored for his country during the international break. A good omen for this game is that he got on the scoresheet in the first two games after returning from October’s break. He is a value addition to the tips at what look potentially big odds.

Someone to pay the penalty?
Two of Mbeumo’s goals for Brentford this season have come from the penalties. Converting both opportunities he has been given from the spot during the absence of usual taker Ivan Toney. I am looking for more of the same for the final selection in my predictions.
No side in the Premier League has been awarded more penalties than Arsenal. With the Gunners converting all six so far via four different players. The referee is Tim Robinson who last took charge of an Arsenal game in the 5-0 victory against Sheffield United last month. Awarding them an 88th-minute spot kick slotted home by Fábio Vieira.
