Coach of Niger Tornadoes, Hamza Abarah, has blamed his team’s 1-0 defeat to hosts Doma United in an NPFL clash at the Pantami Stadium on Saturday on tactical reasons.
According to him, his side lost following lapses that gifted Doma the hard-fought win.
“We were on course, we came with a game plan, but unfortunately we lost the game due to tactical reasons,” Anarah said during the post-match press conference.
Abarah, however, commended his players for their performance.
“This is one of the best games (we’ve played) so far, I’m proud of this game today (Saturday). Despite the loss, this is one of our best games.”
On the host team’s performance, Abarah added, “This is a very good team as you can see and the game is on their side and that will give them energy to do better.”
Also speaking, Doma United coach Akinade Onigbinde, described the outing as tough but expressed delight at the final result.
“We are glad we got our three points, that’s very important to us.”
