The state Commandant, Mohammed Falala, approved the deployment of the personnel shortly after a strategic meeting held with Heads of Department, Area Commanders, and 44 Divisional Offices of the Command.
This was contained in a statement released by the command’s Public Relations Officer, Ibrahim Abdullahi, a copy of which was made available to The PUNCH on Wednesday.
He said special security attention will also be given to critical national assets and infrastructure.
“Officers and men of the command who were tasked to maintain vigilance, will work in collaboration with the Police for security and liaise with operatives of the Federal Road Safety Corp, KAROTA and other sister security agencies for free flow of traffic during and after the festive period,” he said.
The NSCDC further charged officers and men to brace up and ensure heavy security during and after the festive season in the state.
