The Kano State Government has approved the suspension of the managing director of the state-owned radio station, Kano State Radio Corporation, Hisham Habib.
The government also directed the Deputy Managing Director, Abubakar Rano, to oversee the affairs of the corporation.
The acting Secretary to the State Government, Abdullahi Musa, who confirmed the suspension in a letter on Friday, also instructed Rano to take over in an acting capacity.
“Following the suspension of Managing Director, Kano Radio Corporation, I am instructed to request you to oversee the affairs of the corporation with immediate effect,” the letter read.
Meanwhile, the state government did not give the reason behind the suspension.
