The Sarkin Jiwa of Jiwa community, Federal Capital Territory, HRH Idris Musa turbaned 10 chiefs in Jiwa community, in the course of the week.
He also called on indigenes and residents of the FCT to remain peaceful, progress-minded, and patient with President Tinubu’s leadership of the country.
During the event, which also served as the community’s annual Jiwa Festival, the Emir noted that both leaders and followers had greater roles to play in the development of Nigeria.
Speaking at the event, Musa said, “Today is a joyous day for us as we turban 10 important chiefs. We urge everyone, both indigenes and residents of the FCT, to remain peaceful as always, be progress-minded and support the leadership of the country in whatever capacity.”
The chiefs that were turbaned include Dr Ibrahim Wada (Talban Jiwa), Ezekiel Musa (Sarkin Yakin Kudun Jiwa), Abubakar Magaji (Barden Gabas), Shuaibu Emmanuel (Jakadan Jiwa), among others.
Speaking on the sidelines of the event, Ibrahim Wada, who was turbaned as the Talban Jiwa, called for improved education in the community. He said, “I am happy to be trubaned as the Talban Jiwa. Following my turbaning, I will be playing a major role in advising the Emir of Jiwa on the issues of health and education development in the community.”
