Juventus will look to get the job done early
It is no surprise to see Juventus as the heavy odds-on favourite to be the winner of this fixture.
Last weekend they kept their title ambitions alive with a solid 1-0 victory against Roma. That extended their unbeaten run to 13 matches and closed the gap on leaders Inter to just two points.
The Old Lady have won four of their last five road trips. They’ll be determined to add another here against a rock-bottom Salernitana side who have conceded the most goals in Serie A. Massimiliano Allegri’s men have been fast starters this term with five of their six road wins seeing them go in at half-time already ahead.
Bet 1: Juventus/Juventus in Half Time/Full Time @ 2.16 with Bet9ja
More goals expected in Salerno
We do not have to look too far back in the history books for the last head to head stats. These two sides were drawn together in the Coppa Italia Round of 16 and met in Turin on Thursday. A match which saw Juve romp to a 6-1 victory despite the visitors taking a shock first minute lead.
The over 2.5 goals bet we are taking here would have landed before half time. Just under a year ago when these sides last met in this exact fixture, the third of Juventus’s goals in the 3-0 went in on 47 minutes. We can expect a similar outcome here with the gulf in class telling once again.
Bet 2: Over 2.5 goals @ 1.90 with Bet9ja
Christmas may be over but expect cards
These two sides both rank in the top four of Serie A for cards collected. Salernitana have seen 48 yellow cards and two reds this term with only Lecce seeing more. Juventus aren’t too far behind having picked up 45 cautions across the campaign to date.
Although the meeting in February was quite subdued, the reverse fixture saw eight yellow cards and three players sent off.
This season The Garnets have had at least two players shown a card in eight of their nine Serie A fixtures on home soil. Accumulating 15 yellow cards in their last three outings.
Juventus have seen two or more players booked in all of their nine road trips in the league. This selection has also landed in four of referee Marco Guida’s last six appearances in the Italian top flight and is the most confident of all my tips in this fixture.
Bet 3: Both teams to receive 2+ cards @ 1.83 with bet365
Fearsome Frederico set to fire
Frederico Chiesa was utilised from the bench in the victory over Roma but proved his fitness after injury with a starting berth in the midweek cup clash between these two sides. The last of my predictions is for the 26-year-old to get back amongst the goals against a side that have already shipped 36 times at exactly two per game.
The Italian international already has five goals to his name this campaign, his best return since scoring eight times in 2020. Chiesa opened the scoring in his last league start for his club and will be keen to add to his tally here.
Bet 4: Federico Chiesa to score @ 3.20 with Bet9ja
