An actress and filmmaker, Angela Eguavoen, has advised people who are in abusive relationships to get out. She maintained that any partner who made one feel less about oneself was not a hallmark of love.
She told Saturday Beats, “My advice to women and men in abuse relationships is that they should never to remain in it. Leave before it gets too late. A spouse constantly making you feel lesser than yourself is not love. That is a narcissistic behavior, and if one remains there, one will lose oneself without knowing it.”

She added that some fans even gave her money before the movie was re-uploaded on the video sharing platform.
Asked how she manages her mental health when a movie performs below expectations, she said, “I don’t do any particular thing to maintain my mental health when a film does not do well. But, I always tell myself that filmmaking is a lifelong investment. Different platforms come up every now and then, and people always want to consume content. So, if one does not make money immediately, it is always going to come back one way or the other.”
