In a significant stride within the space of substance use prevention and treatment, Mr. Ejikeme McBishops Ogueji has assumed the position as Head of the Editorial and Webinar Team at the esteemed ISSUP Nigeria Chapter.
This appointment follows Mr. Ogueji’s notable contributions to drug demand reduction efforts in Nigeria within the International Society of Substance Use Prevention and Treatment Professionals (ISSUP) Nigeria Chapter where he also serves as the Assistant General Secretary.
Mr. Ogueji, renowned for his dedication to impactful storytelling and advocacy, brings a wealth of expertise garnered over years in nonprofit leadership, publishing, and substance use prevention. His extensive experience across print and new media resonates deeply with the objectives and aspirations of ISSUP Nigeria Chapter.
This appointment, approved by Dr. Martin Osayande Agwogie, President of ISSUP Nigeria Chapter, highlights Mr. Ogueji’s unwavering commitment to furthering substance use prevention and treatment endeavours. Leading an esteemed team comprising Mr. Mitchell, Ms. Theresa Moses, Jarikre Ofoyeju, Mr. Emmanuel Akpan, and Dr. Emeodu Elijah Nwabueze, the Committee will play an important role in organizing both local and international webinars. Additionally, the team will significantly contribute to the publication of ISSUP Nigeria Chapter’s Quarterly Newsletter.
In extending congratulations, Prof. Gboyega E. Abikoye, General Secretary of ISSUP Nigeria Chapter, lauded Mr. Ogueji and the entire team on their appointments. The tenure, initially spanning two years, remains subject to renewal based on outstanding performance.
