A young Nigerian lady identified as Queen Alubarika has shared her surprising experience working as a maid in the Arab country, Libya.
She joined the trending ‘of course’ challenge on social media to narrate her personal experience working with Libyans as a housekeeper.
In the video making rounds online, she said she is not allowed to use her phone in the presence of her madam and can only comfortably use her phone in the toilet or when her madam is absent.
She added that even after she has completed her daily tasks, she has to sit beside her madam in case she needs anything.
According to her, Libyans also ask her a ton of ‘silly’ questions about Nigeria and if basic things like rice, houses, and flowers are available in Nigeria.
She said she sometimes gets asked if she prefers Nigeria to Libya, and if she says she prefers the former, she would be queried.
She added,
“Of course, I am a maid in an Arab country, I can only press phone when my madam is absent,” she said.
“Of course, I am a maid in an Arab country and most of my friends must be thinking I am now rich. Because how the f**k do you come into my DM and start telling me to borrow me N50k, N100k.”
