The Osun Health Insurance Agency said it has digitalized its operations to ensure more efficient service delivery.
The Executive Secretary of OSHIA, Dr Rasaq Akindele, made this known recently in Osogbo, Osun State capital, during a four-day capacity-building training for healthcare providers working with the agency.
Akindele added that heads of hospitals affiliated with the agency were being trained on the use of the software adopted for operations.
According to him, the training was necessary for the smooth digitalisation of the agency’s operation, emphasising that the OSHIA’s management was committed to ensuring full automation “to streamline patient care, referral processes, and claims’ management.”
The purpose of the training, he said, was to facilitate our complete automation process and reduce reliance on physical paperwork from service providers.
“We are equipping medical directors from partner hospitals with the necessary skills to effectively utilise our application. This automation will streamline patient care, referral processes, and claims management,” Akindele explained.
Also speaking, one of the participants, Dr Shekinat Oyebamiji, commended OSHIA for organising the training, adding that it would enable healthcare providers to learn how to use the new automated system.
She urged participants to leverage the opportunity provided by the training to enhance their skills and adapt to the evolving healthcare landscape.
