A television game show— The Price is Right— was re-launched during the week to the delight of many.
The show, which is said to be the longest-running in the world since 1956, is shown in over 99 countries.
Speaking at the event, the executive producer of the show, Olatunbosun Olaegbe, said, “The time is right for the show. In this season where everybody loves to win giveaways, this show has a lot of that for the audience at home, contestants on the show and even brand owners.
“In the United States of America version of the show, they give out about 13 cars a week, and in Nigeria, even if we can’t give up to that number of cars, a good number would be won.
“When the show begins, the audience would have to indicate their interest to partake in it, then subsequently get invited to the studio where it would be recorded.
“The show has over 75 categories with lots of items to be won. Our aim is to surprise our audience.”
On his part, Kelechi Amogu, the Head of Brand and Communications at Smartcash PSB— one of the sponsors of the show— said, “When I first heard about the show, I was excited, because it is the longest-running game show in the world.
“It also offers our brand the opportunity to engage and connect with merchants, business owners and e-customers. I am excited about this partnership, and I cannot wait for the show to begin entertaining Nigerians.”
