The Federal Executive Council had on Wednesday approved N873.23 billion for the execution of three projects across the country by the Ministry of Works.
The projects include the Obajana-Benin Road; Isheri-Ogun Road, and the Outer Marina Shoreline protection.
The Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, said the approval covers an additional N757 billion as augmentation for the dualisation of the 489-kilometer Obajana-Benin Road; N2.23 billion for the Isheri-Ogun Road and N114 billion for the Outer Marina Shoreline protection.
Commending the FG in a statement on Sunday by his Media and Publicity Office, the monarch said aside from enhancing accessibility, the project would foster economic growth by facilitating smoother transportation between Isheri-Olofin and neighbouring hinterlands, including Mokiti and Banku village.
He added that the road will serve as a crucial link between Isheri-Olofin and Ishawo in Ikorodu, Lagos.
The statement read, “This additional connection underscores the road’s significance in bolstering regional connectivity and enhancing transportation networks across Lagos and Ogun States.
“Olofin Bamgbade, alongside the people of Isheri-Olofin, recognises the profound impact of this approval, as it promises to unlock new opportunities and bolster the socio-economic landscape of our community.
