The Director-General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Laminu Danbappa, on Saturday pledged to collaborate with the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
Danbappa stated this while he received the state Commissioner of the Ministry of Religious Affairs in his office and also acknowledged the significant contributions made by the ministry during last year’s Hajj operations.
To this extent, the Director-General not only expressed gratitude for their support and assistance but assured the commissioner of the board’s maximum cooperation in achieving their targeted goals, describing the visit as timely and appropriate.
In his remarks, the Commissioner of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Sheikh Ahmad Auwal, emphasised the importance of fostering a strong and harmonious relationship between the ministry and the board.
He also expressed the ministry’s commitment to working closely with the state Pilgrims Welfare Board, recognising its pivotal role in religious affairs within the state.
Also, the Commissioner seized the opportunity to remind the general public that “decisions regarding the placement of parastatals within the state are solely the prerogative of the governor.”
