It was gathered that the bus involved was said to be heading to Lagos from Ekiti State.
The deceased were said to have died on the spot, though operatives of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and Federal Road Safety Corps reportedly responded shortly after the crash.
The spokesperson for the NSCDC in Osun State, Kehinde Adeleke, confirmed the accident.
Adeleke said, “Today, April 5, 2024, around 1336hrs, one Oma bus from Ekiti going to Lagos had a lone accident around Balogun village which claimed two lives instantly.”
She added that those injured in the crash were taken to a private hospital in Apomu for treatment.
Adeleke added that the Osun NSCDC Commandant, Michael Adaralewa, enjoined road users, especially motorists, to always obey traffic rules and regulations while driving in order to avoid loss of lives and property..
“He also said they should desist from excessive-speeding, urging them not to drink alcohol while driving,” he added.
