He condoled with the family of the deceased monarch, the Council of Obas and Chiefs, as well as the Government and people of Lagos State.
Tinubu’s condolence message was conveyed in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, titled ‘President Tinubu mourns passing of Oba Kabiru Agbabiaka of Isolo.’
Oba Agbabiaka, 64, died shortly after observing the Eid prayers on Wednesday.
The Chairman of Isolo Local Council Development Area, Olasoju Adebayo, confirmed his death in a statement revealing that the deceased monarch would be buried by 4pm according to Islamic rites.
Ngelale said the President “Receives the news of the passing of the Osolo of Isolo, Oba Kabiru Adelaja Agbabiaka (Adeola Olushi III), with deep sadness.”
While mourning the passing of Oba Agbabiaka, the President urged his family and everyone grieving this painful loss to take solace in the remarkable legacy left behind by the departed.
Tinubu, therefore, prayed to God Almighty to grant the soul of the late monarch peaceful repose and his family the strength to bear the huge weight of his passing.
