American female rappers have joined the ongoing hip-hop beef between their male counterparts.
Nicki Minaj’s protégé, Bia, appeared to have taken a swipe at her mentor’s rival, Cardi B, on Dreezy’s ‘B*tch Duh’ remix.
In her verse, Bia mocked an unnamed female artist who can’t follow the beat and went on to say she could never turn her phone on to cry on livestream.
Her statement gave fans the impression that she was referring to Cardi B, who broke down in tears on an Instagram live session in December 2023 to call out her ex-husband, Offset for being deceitful in a profanity-ridden tirade.
“How you say you running down and can’t walk on the beat? I ain’t know I had an opp ’cause she don’t say sh*t to me. I could never turn my phone on just to cry, on the live,” Bia raps.
DAILY POST reports that beef culture has resurfaced in hip-hop recently, with Future and Metro Boomin’s new album, ‘We Still Don’t Trust You,’ looking like a diss project for Drake, with featured artists Kendrick Lamar, A$AP Rocky, and The Weeknd dissing the Canadian rapper on songs from the album.
