… Eulogizes NIMASA for upholding high international maritime regulatory standards
The Commissioner of Police, Ports Authority Police (Western) Command, CP Olanrewaju Olawale Ishola psc+ mnips, who was ably represented by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Operations, DCP Sylvester Uzoefuna Junior, today 25th June 2024 joined other maritime stakeholders and key industry players to grace the celebration of the annual International Seafarers Day set aside by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) to recognize the contributions of seafarers to international trade and the world economy.
The Commissioner of Police congratulated the Director General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dr. Dayo Mobereola, for his visionary leadership in piloting the affairs of the nation’s apex maritime regulatory body while ensuring that NIMASA’s core mandates are enforced which is in tandem with this year’s theme “Navigating the Future; Safety First”.
The CP further assures of the Ports Authority Police (Western) Command’s resolve to synergize with NIMASA in its quest for the enthronement of global best practices in the provision of Maritime services in Nigeria.
