Gauyama, died on Monday, was the mother of Hafsat Umar Ganduje, the wife of Ganduje.
Shettima, who also lost his mother-in-law in the ancient city, appeared to have cut short his private schedule in the city to commiserate with Ganduje.
Shettima arrived at Ganduje’s Nasarawa GRA home around 1:55 pm in the company of aides and a retinue of security personnel.
The Vice President was received by the a former House Leader, Alhassan Ado Doguwa, the Chief of Staff to APC National Chairman, Muhammad Garba and Senior Legislative Aide to the Speaker, Faizu Alfindiki among several others.
While at the residence, the Vice President prayed for the repose of the departed soul before going to the family wing to condole with Ganduje’s wife.
Meanwhile, the APC National Chairman’s residence witnessed an influx of party supporters and followers who have continued to troop into the house to sympathise with the Ganduje family over the loss.
