Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti has opened up on why the club didn’t sign Victor Osimhen last summer.
Recall that Osimhen was linked with a number of top clubs around Europe last summer following a superlative outing for Napoli.
The striker scored 26 goals in 32 outings to help the Partenopei win the Scudetto.
Real Madrid lost their talismanic forward, Karim Benzema, who left the club for Saudi outfit, Al Ittihad.
Ancelotti said signing Jude Bellingham has compensated for Benzema’s departure.
The Italian told Radio Serie A: “No (we didn’t sign Osimhen) because I think the club thought that Benzema’s absence could be remedied by purchasing (Jude) Bellingham.”
