Nollywood Actor and politician, Desmond Elliot react expressed both disappointment and grief at the news of the school building collapse that occured in the Itafaji area in Lagos state on Wednesday March 13th.
Speaking on the issue on his instagram page, he said;
How does a parent dress his child and drop him off at school only to lose that child to a cruel fate such as this? How does a school become a death trap for children? These innocent children did nothing to deserve to be victims of this unfortunate disaster.
It is simply heart-wrenching.
My heart goes out to all the families affected by this. For the deceased I pray for rest, and grace for their families to bear the loss. And for the injured, I pray for speedy recovery.
