A little over two years after he got married in the UK, Nigerian gay rights activist and public speaker, Bisi Alimi has renewed his wedding vows with husband Anthony Davis as the two vacationed in Bali.
The 44-year-old happily shared a video of the vow renewal, saying “Tonight Anthony and I remarried in the beautiful city of Bali in the presence of strangers. It was a beautiful event and reaffirmed our commitment to one another. It is particularly important for us to have a Balinese wedding and this is a memory we will cherish forever.”
Alimi was one of the first Nigerians to openly identify as homosexual and has been very vocal about gay rights as well as people living with HIV/AIDS. He and his British partner Anthony got married in 2016.
