It appears American rapper Cardi B’s visit to Nigeria has caused quite a few ‘table-shaking’ amongst celebrities. Earlier on, Toke Makinwa shared a post which pointed out how Cardi B was being hailed for being real while Nigerian celebs who act like her are constantly being criticised.
While many people agreed with the post, it appears comedian and filmmaker, Yomi Black, had quite a few things to say. He shared a post from a Nigerian marketer who called Toke out and challenged her to show how she is able to afford her lifestyle.
The post reads: “You see why people love someone like Cardi B? She owns her sh*t, just like the Kardashians. You get what you expect. She hasn’t denied being a str*pper or enjoying showing her body. She doesn’t go around forming motivational speaker and quoting Bible passages on social media like some Saint.
“Dear Toke, I dare you to openly show how you can afford your lifestyle. And don’t come with sh*t like you’re an actress or OAP because we all know how much both earn. Also, don’t spew sh*t about endorsement deals because we are in marketing communications and know how much these deals are worth. This has got to be the most hypocritical post of 2019.”
