Every fan of Nigerian singer, Timi Dakolo, recognises him as a top talent in the music industry. To prove that he is a bundle of talent, hard work and consistency, he was recently featured in a UK newspaper for his Merry Christmas Darling album.
The singer who was excited about the special feature, shared photos and videos on his Instagram page, announcing that he got the center spread of The Times, where he was interviewed. Interestingly, the song which is named after the album features British singer, Emeli Sandé.
Not many people understand the significance of such a feature but everyone knows that to get such recognition from a UK newspaper also means that Dakolo has developed a major fan base in the UK and in a musician’s dictionary, that’s great achievement.
It’s laudable that Nigerian musicians of different genres are gradually making their way to become global sensations. They have worked their way up from having Nigerian fans to African fans and are now pulling crowd internationally.
