Popular comedian and actor Roy Hudd has died at the age of 83.
His agent announced this in a statement released on Monday.
Hudd died after a brief illness on Sunday afternoon.
The statement read: ‘We are sad to announce the passing of the much-loved and amazingly talented Roy Hudd OBE.
“Roy passed away on the afternoon of Sunday, March 15, with his wife Debbie at his side after a brief illness.
“The family would ask you to respect their privacy at this very sad time.”
Born in Croydon, Surrey, in 1936, Hudd started his career as a Red Coat at Clacton on the Essex coast, alongside Harry Webb who later found fame and fortune as Sir Cliff Richard.
The deceased starred in the ‘Blood beast terror’, ‘Lipstick on your collar’ amongst other in the 90’s.
