Following the continuous spread of the deadly coronavirus disease, former Nigerian Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, has warned seriously against church, mosque and market gathering.
Iweala took to her Twitter account on Sunday to state that Africa’s window for containment is narrowing, therefore, people should adhere to warnings and instructions and avoid public gatherings.
She said,” Africa’s window for containment is narrowing!
”As of March 28, there are 4,106 cases in 46 countries with 124 deaths.
”Still too many reports and videos of people gathering in churches, mosques and markets.
”Spread the word! Don’t congregate. Save lives .”
Recall that eight new cases of the deadly virus have been confirmed in Nigeria.
According to the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) the patients are in FCT, Kaduna, Osun and Oyo States,
Nigeria now has 97 confirmed cases of the virus.
