The United Kingdom (UK) Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) says 881 patients have died of COVID-19 in the country in the last 24 hours.
The health agency disclosed this in a tweet on its official Twitter account on Thursday.
According to the tweet, the total number of people that have died of COVID-19 so far in the UK is 7,978.
“243,421 people have been tested, of which 65,077 tested positive.
“Those hospitalised in the UK who tested positive for coronavirus, 7,978 have sadly died,” DHSC tweeted.
