President Muhammadu Buhari has commiserated with the people of Oyo State over the death of former Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Chief Richard Akinjide.
DAILY POST had reported that the former Minister of Justice died on Tuesday.
President Buhari in a message condoled with family members, friends, professional and political associates of the legal icon.
This was disclosed in a statement by the President’s Spokesman, Femi Adesina.
Buhari noted that the deceased had made a remarkable impact on the country as Minister of Education in the First Republic, Minister of Justice and Attorney General in the Second Republic, and member of the Judicial Systems Sub-committee of the Constitutional Drafting Committee of 1975-1977.
The President joined the Olubadan of Ibadan Court, the Nigerian Bar Association and the entire Judiciary in mourning the legal luminary, affirming that the late icon used his rich experience and knowledge in serving the country and humanity.
Buhari prayed that the almighty God would grant the departed eternal rest, and comfort his family.
