The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced seven (7) new COVID-19 related deaths for Edo (3) and Niger (4) States.
Edo State now has 39 COVID-19 deaths as at today, while Niger State has 7.
NCDC disclosed this on Wednesday in its COVID-19 Situation Report for June 30.
According to the NCDC, seventeen (17) new COVID-19 related deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours in ten states including the FCT.
Niger has four, Edo has three, Bayelsa has two, while Imo, Kebbi, Plateau, Katsina, Ogun, Kano, Lagos and FCT recorded one death each one.
NCDC disclosed that Edo State also recorded 119 new COVID-19 infections, while Niger State recorded 32 new COVID-19 infections.
The total number of COVID-19 cases in Edo is now 1,105, while Niger has 116 cases.
Edo, however, recorded eight new recoveries on the reported day, while Niger recorded zero recoveries.
The number of discharged patients recorded for both Edo and Niger are 288 and 37, respectively.
Meanwhile, the total number of COVID-19 cases in Nigeria as of July 1 stands at 25,694.
