The Nigerian Security And Civil Defence Corps said it recorded 114 Civil cases between January and June 2020.
This was contained in a press statement signed by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SC Adamu Shehu issued to DAILY POST.
He said the Peace and Conflict Management Unit of the Command received and treated a total of One hundred and fourteen (114) Civil cases between January and June this year.
Adamu explained that the complaints ranged from Family-related disputes, Breach of commercial contracts, Debt recovery, Land disputes, Tenancy disputes, Farmers/ Herdsmen conflicts among others.
He said out of the total number of cases recorded, Seventy Nine (79) were resolved amicably and out of court, while Thirty-Five (35) were transferred to court.
Spokesman of the command, however, said that a total of Nine Million Seven Hundred and Forty-Two Thousand, Three Hundred and Fifty Naira (N9,742,350) were recovered and handed over to the lawful owners.
The command, therefore, urged the general public to support the Corps in its quest to resolve conflicts and fight against crime and criminals.
