President Muhammadu Buhari has reappointed Faisal Shuaib as Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA).
He was first appointed in January 2017.
An October 6 letter signed by Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, confirmed Shuaib’s second and final term of four years.
The appointment will take effect from the January 10, 2020.
Shuaib recieved commendations as after Nigeria was certified Wild Polio Virus free by the World Health Organization (WHO) on August 25.
The medical doctor and public health specialist was a Senior Programme Officer at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) in Seattle, United States.
In 2014, Shuaib led Nigeria’s battle against Ebola disease as Head/Coordinator of the Emergency Operation Centre.
